"You can be Black, Hispanic, or Asian; you can wear Manolos and Prada. You can be… hip, dynamic and be a scientist."

Jennifer Stimpson, Ed.D., engages students by connecting science principles to real-world experiences. This Rock Star Scientist is passionate about educating students about the wonders and possibilities of science. Dr. Stimpson was once a former federal forensic chemist working for the Drug Enforcement Administration to solve federal crimes. When she realized the need to support science programming in public school, Jennifer became a science teacher. This veteran educator, entrepreneur, and community leader now serves students through practice and innovative programming. From her work in science education, Jennifer taught a girls' leadership class in Uganda, took a starring role """"O Magazine"""" as a STEM visionary, received an inspiration award from Michael Jordan, and worked in Congress as a STEM policy fellow. Jennifer adheres to the philosophy that teachers inspire students to become active lifelong learners. Her global vision to advance science literacy for middle school girls reflects her community, civic and public missions, and advocacy to promote justice in science education. With sharpened wit and wisdom, Jennifer inspires and encourages girls to become STEMinist women.
