"I was constantly surrounded by examples of how those who worked in STEM improved the lives of others. That inspiration led me to the pharmaceutical space, and as an IF/THEN ambassador, I hope to introduce young women to the magic that happens when the impossible is met with innovative solutions."

Make an impact! Paula Garcia Todd grew up in Brazil knowing that she loved STEM and wanted to pursue engineering to create change and help people. With a background in chemical engineering, her career has focused in Pharmaceutical Sciences to help fight diseases. Rising in her career, she is now Global Application & Innovation Director for Pharma Solutions at International Flavors & Fragrances, realizing that business roles in science companies can be particularly impactful in guiding new innovative solutions. She believes that everyone working in a STEM field has a responsibility to educate our younger generation on the beneficial, real life impact of STEM. In 2020, she was named "Woman of the Year in Engineering" by Women in Technology.
