Uses STEAM to solve problems and provide inspiration as a field biologist and science educator.
Nature geeks unite! On a daily basis, Sam Wynns hangs out with octopuses, observes Peregrine Falcons, and even wrangles snakes—gently and respectfully, of course! All of this takes place in her work as a conservation biologist with the National Park Service at Cabrillo National Monument in San Diego. While she loves spending time with all of the amazing plants and animals in her park, Sam's ultimate goal is to illuminate a passion for STEM and inspire commitment to environmental stewardship.
