Scientist, advocate for Black women in wildlife careers, and creator of popular social media game #FindThatLizard which teaches players lizard facts.
Can you #FindThatLizard? Earyn McGee is a herpetologist and a PhD Candidate at the University of Arizona. Her research focuses on how drought affects lizards in arid environments and also how social media can be used to increase the representation of African American women in natural resources careers. She shares her passion for lizards with others through a fun interactive game, #FindThatLizard. During each challenge Earyn posts a photo of a lizard camouflaged in its natural environments. Each photo is accompanied by fun facts about the lizard. These fun facts double as hints on where the lizard may be located in the photo. You can follow Earyn on social media at @Afro_Herper.
